Hiya~!

I'm new, just joined, but for Cap, Pori-chan and Prancey, I'm not dead! Isn't that great? I'm back, and with the same typo (this time on purpose). I've got another crazy late night to pull , and it's my first one of the year. I'm pretty sure that's actually a pretty good record for now.

How's everyone been doing?

Ah, yes, every first post must have something about them, yeah? jikoshoukai and all that (is tempted to write entirely in Japanese). So I'm a girl, lives in Australia, Chinese, speaks Cantonese, studies Japanese and Mandarin, and a complete anime otaku I was watching a whole bunch of sports anime, spamming my MAL account with heaps of updates on what I've been watching. I'm still in love with Gintama, but I'm currently watching Hitman Reborn, and wishing that I would stop watching Jump anime, but I'm pretty sure that's not going to happen. My guilty pleasure is the classic shounen with WAY too many episodes, what can I say?

Procrastination is horrible, and that's why I've got to write the rest of my legal essay and finish the rest of my Mandarin speech by tomorrow morning at 6am. It's now 10pm, wish me luck, guys.

Hello Quinn, welcome back , the first all-nighter of the year XD, way to come back.

I have been fine, kinda, there is still like 2 to 3 weeks left for me to begin my new career, been attending to classes in sociology to keep learning stuff and maintaining me active, and kinda lost my habits on watching anime, and only following 3 or 4 manga, 1 that comes out weekly (toukyou-kushu re) and 3 that comes out monthly.

Yep procrastination is horrible, you are lucky that you have still the energy to pull out those all-nighters XP, but this kind of beginning makes me think it's a bad omen XD, I have been a procrastinator myself and I don't know how I will pull out my first semester (I'm beginning from 0, yay! (sarcastic)), but I wish that what I have learn until now will help me to manage to accomplish the tasks given and still maintain my health and sanity (and with luck my social life).

I'm sure you can manage too to not risk too much your health while studying, maybe half procrastination XP?, who knows, good luck then! and I wish you can have some sleep after doing your best on your duties .

I'd try to hypnotise you into watching anime, but I'm pretty sure it won't work in this case I really hope it's not a bad omen, I mean, I don't do this often, probably three times per semester, kind of this. That's... not too bad... This essay is taking a lifetime to complete though And energy? I don't think so, I feel like I'm falling asleep more every time I type a sentence. I've got to get this done though.

Hopefully, I'll have the time + socialising quota to sick around again

So what's your plan Quinn? coffee time, music? talking in the forum or watch-listen to an old favorite episode of an anime of yours? I would recommend walking a little and jump too, because when you are standing up you can't fall asleep that easily and plus the adrenaline and an accelerated heart will maintain you awake and with more blood flowing through your brain, so giving you a little more time awake and a little faster brain power.

And tea, a good tea of the type that has caffeine can be good too.

Well, for some reason, music and legal assignment usually mix pretty well. Unlike history where I have to work in complete silence, with legal, I can do just about anything and still be able to concentrate. Every position feels better than sitting up right now... so I don't know, don't really feel like drink, but talking on forums is pretty good

hum, I think that would only worsen the procrastination XP, talking in the forum, and me being part of that, I think I would be doing you no good XD, I will come back to check, in like an hour, you can tell through here (or the chat) that you had success in finishing the assignment, I think it would be a good reward to share your emotion and finally going to satisfy your need of sleep XP. Legal stuff, I would think about it as kinda boring for me, but well, from time to time we have to meddle up with the legal stuff (often when I had to make inquiries in sociology).

You can do this Quinn!!! cmon keep going!, it's nothing new, you have been already through this, keep moving those eyes and don't stop writing, just a little more and there awaits the dreamland at the end of the tunnel

I don't really know how to comment to that... Though, it's probably because this is happening.

Everything's alright (for the week), I got everything finished eventually, and I even got three hours of sleep ...okay, that sounds really bad, but I think it's pretty good at the moment.

Well, this place isn't as fabulous as AOST is, or does it offer as much of the cool features on our dear old usual spot but I'm doing what I can do make it comfortable. There's a lack of the notification system, which I know that this forum software has but it doesn't suit the way I want it to be for now.

I would forget about time and food every now and then as I'm watching anime or reading manga (on my final week of break now). And you got into Reborn? Good luck finishing another shounen action. I finished that quite some time ago.
For a change of genre, I recommend Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso (Your Lie in April). It's from the current season, and it's really good. It's not action but slice of life, romance, and classical music. (Wait, what am I doing? Recommending more anime as you're busy with school " longdesc="109" /> )

Anyway, I'll try my hardest not to disappear again. がんばります！Well, to be honest, I went on AnimeOSTs to chat to people, most of my music was downloaded off another site that has EVERYTHING (it's insane). So really, I find nothing wrong with this site. It's got the people I like to talk to on it, and that's enough for me Good job, Pori-chan~!

I can't quite explain my fascination with shounen. There's just something about those anime that I really like. Also, I'm past all the first slow moving episodes of Reborn now, so I'm really enjoying it I love anime recommendations~! It doesn't mean I have to go watch the anime, it just means that I have to spend a tiny amount of time downloading it onto my darling (HDrive) Moyashi. So much anime.

I just finished a hellish week of school. My Chinese teacher said that this weekend's homework is to spend 4 hours each day doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING PRODUCTIVE. Homework of the best kind, don't you think?

Why are you using 可愛い in its hiragana form? Is it any different? I've not learnt Japanese the proper way and I found that there are many explanations (which their sources aren't all that reliable) regarding this.

What I meant by 'kanji' was that there isn't very much of it there, because we focus a lot more on grammar than the characters, though, for communication, that's a lot more important, ne?

Moyashi has eaten over 140 separate anime. Despite the fact that a lot of those are quite short, there's also quite a lot that are really LONG because one, I'm addicted to Jump anime and two, I'm just too curious for my own good. I even started to download One Piece the other day. Haven't gotten very far because of school work, but it'll cut up eventually.

I think I may have done more than 4 hours, but meh, saa na.

As for かわいい, I actually haven't seen it like that too many times, but that's probably because people don't really use it online, hirigana is more casual like that. Though, don't get confused when people write it in katakana, 'cause that's just people trying to be カワイイ which is a bit silly if you ask me.

One this is do happen to know is that 'ore' is written/typed the same as 僕 the reason why it doesn't come up are kanji very often is because no one would actually write 'ore' on a formal piece of writing, so it usually appears as hiragana online.

Hmm... That's true... But I'd really like if it helps with reading the kanji cause I would always go into reading kanji as Mandarin cause I'm so used to it.

For かわいい, I don't know but I think being casual might be it. It's faster typing it out that way as well so I guess that's how it works online. And you mentioned "ore" but you wrote "boku"? But yeah, writing "ore" on a formal writing would really wreck it cause it's only for casual uses.

Well, the only reason why I could read it was because I read it in Chinese after I couldn't read it in Japanese. It's kinda lucky that my brain separates languages like that, otherwise, I would be reading a out passages and the sentence would be in different languages.

It automatically switches to Chinese the moment I know that I can't read it in Nihongo, and my mind subconsciously does so.
And just imagining it makes me laugh. Like 勉強頑張ね would become "mian qiang wan zhang ne"

I thought 'ore' is 俺? But of course, writing in hiragana is easier. 'Boku' would be 僕. I've seen mangas writing these two in their kanji form so that's why I could recognize.
